My Lunch Times

This two days I had a lunch with my friends.
I had a lunch with Tanya yesterday. At that time I taught her Japanese. It was so difficult to tell her the meanings of words in English. Japanese has so many meaning for one word. I use that naturally because I am Japanese. But if you want to study Japanese you have to know all words when we can use this word. Everybody said Japanese was so difficut. But I did not think Japanese was difficut. But now I really feel that. When Tanya asked me about meaning of words I could not explain that words even I am Japanese. And I have a lot of words I do not know how to write in Kanji (Chinese character). It was difficult to teach her English but I enjoyed to teach her.I will teach her again.

Today, I had a lunch with Ji A. Stacy could not have a lunch with us today. We always go to same restaurant. It is Japanese noodles restaurant. We love this restaurant very much. We go to there almost once a week. After that we go to drink boba juice. We always do same things. But I like it. When we have a lunch we talk a lot. If I feel a littele depressed, they help me. I hope we can pass the class, and we have a lunch again.

Blood Diamond

I saw the movie this weekend. It name is Blood Diamond. There were many battle in the movie. It is the sad movie, but it is the good movie. I like this movie.

In the movie, RUF attacked many village and killed many people. RUF is the group of crazy guys. They picked up children from village and they taught children how to kill the people. The children lost their mind and they became crazy to kill people. And RUF also controled people to find the diamond. They sold the diamond illegally.

I was surprised by many scenes. The children was good people in the biginig of the story. But they was controled by crazy guys. The childeren became crazy. I can not believe it. The people can chenge like this? It is little strange and fearful.

The Movie and Me

I saw the movie on Friday. It story about a teacher and students. The teacher whose name is Thackeray taught his student about life and different between child and adult. First his students did not pay attention to Thackeray. Thackeray thought what made them like this and he changed his students. He really heartd students voice and he always thought about his students. He did not run away from his students. Sometimes he really got angry them, somtimes he contacted thme kindly. I never met this kind of teacher. In Japan there are many problems about school. I actually have experience. I wanted to met like this kind of teacher.

I think I am still child now. My reason of came to America is beacuse of my parent. When I was last grade student of high school my parents told me that we will stay America on business trip. I was interested in study English. But I already passed the vocatinal college's test. And I really wanted to go that college. So I said I will stay Japan and go to that college a lone. However my parent did not allow me. At that time I fought with my parent many times. I cried many times. Finally I decided decline the college and go to America. Now I am really enjoying my life in America. I can think it was good choice to came to America now. If I stayed in Japan I could not met my friends, my classmates and experience. All that things is gave me from my parents.
They still help me. I am growing to adult. But I am still child. I am half child and half adult now.

Our Presentation

I think our presenation skill got better than before. But we have to do more good presentation. I found many good points and bad points.

Most important thing is we have to check does everyone understand what I want to tell. If someone does not underastand, we have to explain it. So we have to know the meaning we will use. And we can use blackboard. It will help us to explain the word. Also we have to care about standing position. If you stood near the blackboard you could not tell them very well. So we have to stand between blackboard and the classmates. It make more easy to tell them.

I think when we have a presentation, almost all of us are very nervous, and it make us can not do good presentation. So we need to do more presentations and get accustomed to do presentation.

Lenin

I researched about Lenin. I could not understand detail about him. But I am interested in his thinking. I saw my classmates presentation. And I learned about Marx, Trotsky, Stalin and Mao. They had their own idea. Their basic ideas are almost same, but there are little different ideas between them. It is interesting !!

My English

Today I spoke with my house owner. If my father were at home I did not need speak with owner. But today my father was not at home so I spoke him. But I could not understand all what he said to me. I often speak on the telephone with owner. Whatever he calls me, I feel very sad. Because of my English!! Every day I am thinking about my English, but I have a no idea. How to study ENGLISH. My English got better than before?? I do not think so. I have a no idea what do I have to do. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Auroras

The aurora is display of light. It shape is like curtain. Aurora appear between the sun and the erath rerationship. So it is so far from us. It is higer than flying air plane. Aurora has four colors, red, green, pink and blue. If aurora appeared higest level, it color is red. Middle level is green. Lowest level is pink and blue. And it has two shapes. Aurora do not see anywhere. If you want to see auroras, you have to go the South Pole or the North Pole. And it need clean air and fine weather. So if you saw auroras it is great experience.

In my opinion, we have to know more about nature and serious situation. Then we have to protect nature.

The book

Today, we finished watching the movie. I wrote I like the movie better than the book last time. But I think if you want to study English, read the book is better than watching the movie. The movie has picture and action so if you can not understand English, you can understand from picture and action. But the book has no picture and action. Only letters. So you have to figure out from sentences. It is difficult to understand. However if you study hard, your English get more better. And your vocaburary will increase.

Now, I think I do not do my best to read the book. So I want to read more deeply and do my best !!

Presentation

I had presentation today. It was not good presentation. I could not explain about my topic very well. I shocked. I think I need more vocabrary. And I have to speak more fluently. So I will try to speak my friend many times.

I Hate It !!!

I got up late today. Everyday, I leave home at 6 o'clock. But I got up 6 o'clock today. I was in a hurry. Then I left home at 6:20. I started to drive my car. But I caught a traffic jam. It did not move completely. I was anger,because I left my home 20 minutes later tha usual. Only 20 minutes!!! I thought a long time. Finally I went back to home.

In America, most of pepole use car to go shool or work. So everyday in the morning and evening there are lot of traffic jam. I can not get up late. I have to leave my home at 6 o'clock after today.

I want to live near SMC.

I Like Movie.

I saw the movie yesterday. I lke movie more than book. Bcause the book is difficult for me to understand story. The movie has pictures so I could understand better than the book.

When shackleton and his crew was in survival situation, Shacketon said. " we can not have many things. We need only a few things to live in survival. " Then one crew killed his cat. I was very surprised. I felt really sad.

The Getty Center

I went to Getty musium today. It was second time to went to Getty musium. When I was junior high school student, I went to there for school trip. So I was very happy to go there. I said to some my classmate" Let's go together!" but some of them could not go together. So I want to go somewhere with my classmates next time. Dear All of my classmates !! Let's go together somewhere!!!

At the musium I saw many kinds of display. At first I was not interested in musium. But when I saw French furniture, I was fascinated by that. It was very cute and gorgeous. I wanted to touch but I could not touch. I took many picture instead. I am so happy now.

Research

Today,I have a lot of homework.First thing is research.

All of my classmate used library to serach our topic by books in Susan's class.It is my first time to use library books.I think library is good to study.When I study at home I always cannot concentrate on study.But at the library I could !! I want to study at the library.

After came back to home,I used computer to research my topic.My topic is aurora light.It is difficult to explain how to auroras appear in the sky.

Second thing is reading homework.
I have to read Endurance untill page 60.It is so many pages!!How to read all.I can't.But I want to do my best.But I am very very sleepy now.Help me!!!

The Difficult Book.

This book which name is Endurance is very difficut to understand the story.So I wrote about if i were Shackleton.

If I were Shackleton,I would gather some clever men and some funny men for my crew.I did not have any information for voyage.So I heared my crew's opinions who were clever and then I decided how to get over the difficult situation.Sometimes people was killed by voyage.So people worried and thought about that.We needed funny people to enjoy the voyage.It will make us forget about voyage only that time.Also it helps us to reduce stress.I want to have a nice time on the ship.

Reading

Now I am reading a book.The name of book is Endurance.It is very very dificult for me.I always cannot finish reading homework.I marked many words that I do not know it's meaning.

Today,Emilio gave us some prints.There are many prefixes and suffixes.It will help me to understand meaning of words.I want to memorize that.I will study from now on.

Before Go to School.

I wake up about 5 o'clock everyday.First I wash my face and change my clothes.I ready to go to school.If I have enough time to eat my breakfast,I eat my breakfast at my house.Then I leave my house 6 o'clock.I arrive about 7 o'clock at the college.I eat my breakfast or sleep in my car untill Emillio's class has start.

Odysseus is Not Good Leader

I think Odysseus is not a good leader.He came back to his island without his crew.His crew always did somthing bad when Odysseus was sleeping.If Odysseus were good leader,he could control his crew everytime.I think he needs more confidence from his crew.Then they will protect Odysseus from danger and listen to what Odysseus is saying.But I think he will be a good leader as king of Ithaca.He could come back to his island and he was given many things from voyage.So he may understands how to control people or his island.I hpe that.

Everyone's LA

I saw my classmate's blog. When I saw Ji a's journal,I was encouraged from that.Because I wake up 5 o'clock too.She dosen't live with her family or her friend.But she do her best.I always thought about why do I have to wake up 5 o'clock! why do I have to pick up my brother! I can't take lunch with my friends!! But Ji a's journal changed me.I noticed it was my selfish.

All of my classmates are work hard.Everyone are in foreign country by oneself.Everyone have anxiety,but they do their best by oneself. How about I ? I stay with my family. They help me.

I like Clay

Monkey Island was written by Paula Fox.Clasy is the main character in the story.His mother dissapeared from her hotel.So he was alone and he could not live in hotel.He always thought about his mother.He remembered when he was happy with his parents and he felt more lonely.He was not clever because when his parents fought,they did not speak for a long time.Clay saw that.He thought he had to do something for them.But he got his father more angry.Because he said to his dad."Daddy? Could you say something?"(p,13)

I think Clay is a good boy.He is not clever but I like his thinking.If I were Clay, I could not live.Clay lived desperately and he was always looking for his parents.He did not give up.I want to fallow his example.

Car Society

I was surprised from many things in America.I will write about one of that.

My father often come back home after he drank some alcohol.I was surprised that, beacause in Japan, if you drank only a drop of alcohol you had better do not drive a car.But in America, it is different.It is not a serious problem.I think it is dangerous.

We have many car accident recently in Japan.Most of it reason is alcohol.So we have many rule about driving. I think it is natural.In America we cannot live without a car. But I cannot understand why it is not serious problem.I think America have to make more strict rule about driving.It will help you .
